Sinner Roleplay Guide
Create a Sinner character with Shattered Realms lore, traits, roleplay notes, progression rules, and connections to Hell.
Sinner | Overview
General
Sinners are Souls marked by consequence, the kind of stain that doesn’t wash off. They aren’t just “evil.” They’re *bound* to something: punishment, chains, debts, vows, or cosmic judgment. Sinner characters tend to feel heavier, mythic, and dangerous, because their very existence has a cost.
Best For
- Dark redemption arcs - “I did something unforgivable” characters - Anti-heroes, cursed champions, chained monsters - Players who want constant narrative tension baked into the character
Sinner | Traits
Tone & Themes
- Consequence-driven power - Burden as identity - Chains / brands / halos of judgment / “eyes watching you” If you pick Sinner, you’re choosing story weight, lean into it.
Sinner | Notes
RP Prompts
- What did you do, and who decides you’re guilty? - Are you trying to break your chains… or wield them? - What happens if your punishment is “fulfilled”?
Current Rules
Sinners can now be created from the beginning. Hell is no longer only a place of imprisonment. It is a hellish landscape with different regions and flavors depending on where you go. Sinners cannot stay outside Hell for long. Encounters outside Hell drain stamina by 1 each turn, doubling after every 5 turns: turn 1 drains 1, turn 5 drains 2, turn 10 drains 4, and so on. When a Sinner dies, they lose the appropriate EXP but respawn in Hell with all memories intact in their respective circles.
