Quincy | Overview

Difficulty
Hard
8/10
Quincy are precision and finality. You are a hunter of “impurity,” and your victories feel clean, decisive, and terrifying.
This is a high-standard path, you need discipline, clarity, and strong intent.
General
Quincy manipulate Reishi directly, forging bows, blades, and constructs from ambient spirit matter.
Their attacks are infamous for erasing threats, especially Hollows, with no return.
Their culture leans toward conquest, purity, and order, especially under the Wandenreich legacy.
Playstyle
- Ranged control, zones, and execution
- Defensive blood techniques + high precision offense
- Great for: crusaders, zealots, disciplined soldiers, imperial remnants, “purity at any cost” arcs

Quincy “Code”
A Quincy should always have a creed.

- “Purity is survival.”
- “The world must be cleansed.”
- “I am the last arrow of a dead empire.”

Quincy | Notes

RP Prompts
- Who taught you purity?
- What do you consider “impure”, Hollows only, or entire ideologies?
- If your arrow erases souls… how do you sleep at night?

Quincy | Blood | Echt (Pure)

How to Play
Echt are the old blood. They are tradition, pedigree, and inheritance made flesh. An Echt Quincy should be played like someone raised to believe that Quincy power is sacred and refined. They are often composed, disciplined, and difficult to impress. Even the kinder ones tend to carry themselves like they were taught from birth that their blood means something.

An Echt usually values order, ritual, hierarchy, control, and mastery. They are not merely archers or soldiers; they see themselves as heirs to a legacy. Their pride does not always have to be loud, but it is almost always there. Some wear nobility openly, others hide it under calm restraint, but most Echt believe that being Quincy is something that must be upheld with dignity.

In combat and temperament, Echt should feel deliberate. They are not usually chaotic fighters. They aim to look practiced, measured, and superior. Even when emotional, they often try to maintain poise. Roleplay them as people who think in terms of standards: What is proper? What is worthy? What weakens the blood? What honors it?
How they view the others
Gemischt (Mixed): Seen as diluted, but not worthless. Many Echt view Gemischt as proof that Quincy blood can survive outside strict lineage, but also as evidence of what is lost when blood is mixed. Respect is usually earned, not given.

Tierisch (Beast): Often viewed as powerful but uncultured. Echt may admire their raw effectiveness while looking down on their lack of restraint, savagery, or “animal” instinct.

Gefalscht (Mod-Soul): Usually seen as unnatural. Some Echt view them as abominations, stolen imitations, or manufactured mockeries of true blood. Others may see them as tragic beings playing at a heritage they never inherited.

Magisch (Fae): Often treated with the most suspicion. To an orthodox Echt, Magisch blood may feel like dangerous contamination, Quincy identity altered by something alien and mystical. Some may grudgingly respect their versatility, but rarely without discomfort.

Quincy | Blood | Gemischt (Mixed)

How to Play
Gemischt are survivors. They are the bloodline of adaptation, contradiction, and proof. A Gemischt Quincy should be played like someone who understands that belonging is rarely handed to them freely. They often grow up with something to prove, to family, to society, or to themselves.

They are flexible where Echt are rigid. They learn to fight smarter, talk better, improvise faster, and endure longer. A Gemischt often lives in the space between worlds: Quincy enough to claim the blood, but often made to feel as if they must validate it. This can create many personalities, ambitious overachievers, bitter realists, charismatic mediators, fiercely loyal companions, or quietly resentful strivers.

When roleplaying a Gemischt, lean into adaptability and identity tension. They usually understand nuance better than the purebloods because they have had to. They often question old rules more easily, not always out of rebellion, but because they have seen that reality is messier than doctrine. A Gemischt may crave acceptance, reject it entirely, or redefine what Quincy pride means on their own terms.
How they view the others
Echt (Pure): Often seen as proud, entitled, or sheltered. Many Gemischt respect their strength and lineage, but resent how easily they confuse inheritance with worth.

Tierisch (Beast): Usually viewed with more openness than Echt would show. Gemischt often recognize them as fellow outsiders, though they may still find them difficult, wild, or intimidating.

Gefalscht (Mod-Soul): A Gemischt is more likely than an Echt to treat them as people first. They understand what it means to be judged by origin, so many feel sympathy or kinship with the manufactured.

Magisch (Fae): Often seen as strange, but fascinating. Gemischt may be more willing to accept Magisch blood as simply another evolution of Quincy identity, especially if they themselves reject strict orthodoxy.

Quincy | Blood | Tierisch (Beast)

How to Play
Tierisch should be played as intensely instinctive, physical, and sensory. Even the civilized ones tend to feel closer to the teeth of the world than other Quincy. They are trackers, hunters, rush-down duelists, and people who often trust their gut before doctrine.

A Tierisch Quincy does not have to be feral, but they should feel grounded in instinct. Their body matters to them. Their senses matter. Territory, dominance, loyalty, hunger, fear, pursuit, and pack-bonding can all influence how they behave. Some are blunt and aggressive; others are eerily quiet, patient predators. Their Quincy identity may feel less like a refined inheritance and more like something alive in the blood, something that wants to move, tear, chase, and endure.

When roleplaying one, let them be direct. They tend to respect strength they can feel, not titles written on paper. Many Tierisch judge people by scent, posture, courage, and action before status. Their emotions may come harder and cleaner than other bloodlines: anger, loyalty, protectiveness, possessiveness, thrill. They can be deeply honorable, but usually in a more primal way than the ritualistic honor of an Echt.
How they view the others
Echt (Pure): Seen as stiff, overbred, and too concerned with appearances. Tierisch may respect their skill, but often think purebloods mistake restraint for strength.

Gemischt (Mixed): Usually judged individually rather than politically. If a Gemischt proves themselves, a Tierisch may trust them quickly and fiercely.

Gefalscht (Mod-Soul): Reactions vary wildly. Some Tierisch see them as soulless, scentless wrongness. Others recognize them as beings fighting to live and therefore worthy of respect.

Magisch (Fae): Often viewed as uncanny. Beast-blood tends to react strongly to things that feel unnatural or hard to read, so Magisch Quincy may be treated with curiosity, wariness, or territorial suspicion.

Quincy | Blood | Gefalscht (Mod-Soul)

How to Play
Gefalscht are the made blood, constructed, altered, or artificially brought into Quincy identity. They should be played with a constant awareness of selfhood. A Gefalscht Quincy often lives with the question: If I was made, does that make me lesser, or does it make me proof that a soul can become more than what it was born as?

This bloodline is excellent for roleplay built around identity, autonomy, and defiance. Some Gefalscht are cold and clinical, leaning into precision because they were built for function. Others are emotional and volatile, desperate to prove they are more than a project, weapon, or imitation. Many carry a strange mix of inferiority and superiority, wounded by rejection, but also secretly convinced they may surpass the “natural” bloodlines because they were forged with purpose.

A Gefalscht should often feel aware of how others look at them. Even when confident, they are rarely untouched by it. They may overperform, overthink, or overcorrect. Some embrace the title of artificial and turn it into strength: I was not born into greatness. I was assembled for it. Others long simply to be treated as real.
How they view the others
Echt (Pure): Often seen as hypocrites of birthright. Gefalscht may resent them the most, because pureblood disdain cuts deepest. At the same time, some secretly crave validation from them.

Gemischt (Mixed): Usually the easiest bloodline for them to connect with. Gemischt understand being viewed as “less than ideal,” and that shared wound can create trust.

Tierisch (Beast): Often respected for honesty. A Tierisch may hate a Gefalscht openly rather than smile politely while judging them, and some Gefalscht prefer that brutal clarity.

Magisch (Fae): Seen as fellow deviations from orthodoxy. Gefalscht may find common cause with Magisch blood, though both may also distrust how strange the other feels.

Quincy | Blood | Magisch (Fae)

How to Play
Magisch are the eerie blood. They are Quincy whose lineage has been touched by something ancient, mystical, or otherworldly. They should be played as uncanny, imaginative, and slightly difficult to place. Even when kind, they may feel like they are operating by rules other people do not fully understand.

A Magisch Quincy often treats the world as layered. Where others see battlefield, they see omen, symbol, pattern, promise, glamour, debt, or hidden law. They may be graceful and whimsical, aloof and cryptic, or deeply intelligent in a way that unsettles others. Their relationship to Quincy tradition is often complicated. Some believe they represent the next step of Quincy evolution; others feel like they live with one foot in a heritage that may never fully accept them.

To play a Magisch well, lean into mystique without making them random. They should feel deliberate, but in a way others cannot always predict. They may speak in metaphors, keep odd customs, value pacts and meanings, or seem more patient with the unseen than with politics. Even aggressive Magisch often feel theatrical, elegant, or surreal rather than straightforward.
How they view the others
Echt (Pure): Seen as painfully rigid. Magisch often think purebloods are trapped by old definitions and too frightened of change to see new forms of power.

Gemischt (Mixed): Usually viewed fondly or curiously. Magisch may see Gemischt as people already living between categories, which makes them easier to understand.

Tierisch (Beast): Often seen as honest, but difficult. Magisch may admire their raw sincerity while disliking how instinctively hostile they can be toward the unfamiliar.

Gefalscht (Mod-Soul): Often treated with surprising empathy. Both bloodlines know what it is to be seen as “wrong” by orthodoxy. A Magisch may be one of the first to ask not what a Gefalscht is, but what they choose to become.
